The Caloosahatchee River is the life-blood of our area and the focus of much of its history. Cutting Lee County in half, it starts at Lake Okeechobee in the east and drains into Estero Bay in the West. An intracoastal waterway, cruisers frequently boat all the way from Cape Coral to Fort Lauderdale.
Fishing, boating, cruising, water sports, sight-seeing, all take place on the Caloosahatchee.
Del Prado Blvd runs close to parallel to the river, and there are many beautiful homes and public parks along its path.
The Cape Coral Yacht Club sits on
the Caloosahatchee River, as do the developments of Cape Harbour and Tarpon
Point Marina, and the public Horton Park, Eco Park, Jaycee Park, and more.
